Frequently asked questions

When the dust container reaches the MAX line, it requires emptying.

  1. Unplug the vacuum cleaner from the mains.
  2. Press the dust container release button.
  3. Using the carry handle, pull the dust container away from the vacuum cleaner.
  4. Position the dust container over a bin, then press the dust release button.
  5. Empty the contents, gently tap the dust container against the side of the bin to remove any stubborn dust.
  6. Close the dust container lid until it clicks into place.
  7. Carefully re-attach the dust container until it clicks into place.

To clean the air outlet (HEPA) filter, use the following steps:

1. Unplug the vacuum cleaner from the mains.

2. Release the outlet filter cover lock clip, then remove the outlet filter cover.

3. Pull the outlet filter lock clip, then remove the outlet filter.

4. Tap the outlet filter over a bin to remove any dust. Then rinse in warm water. Wait for the filter to dry thoroughly before refitting.

5. Clip the outlet filter back into position.

6. Replace the outlet filter cover, ensuring it is clipped firmly in place.

To clean the pre-motor filter, use the following steps:

1. Unplug the vacuum cleaner from the mains.

2. Press the dust container release button.

3. Using the carry handle, pull the dust container away from the vacuum cleaner.

4. Using the dust container lid release catch, open the dust container lid.

5. Lift out the pre-motor filter and shake off any dust.

6. Lift the cyclone assembly out from the dust container.

7. Wash the pre-motor filter and cyclone assembly with water, then allow to thoroughly dry.

8. Replace the cyclone assembly into the dust container.

9. Replace the pre-motor filter.

10. Close the dust container lid, until it clicks into place.

11. Carefully re-attach the dust container.

If your vacuum is experiencing a loss of suction, please try the following:

  • Check for any debris or blockages in the tubing and main body.
  • Ensure the filter has been cleaned and left to dry as per the maintenance and care instructions.
  • Check to see if the issue is happening on all attachments. If it is happening with a particular attachment then check there is no damage to this attachment and it is fitted correctly.

If the vacuum is not turning on, please try the following:

  • Try an alternative plug socket.
  • Change the fuse in the plug.

If there is light and sound but the unit isn’t turning on fully, please ensure the vacuum has been cleaned correctly; check for blockages and clean the filter.

If the vacuum is hard to push, please check try the following:

  • Check for any blockages or debris in the floorhead.
  • Change the pile adjustment setting for the floorhead if available on the model (please refer to the user manual for the location).
  • Check if the issue occurs on different floor types, as thick carpets will be harder to push on.

How to change your plugs fuse

Need to return your product?

This product is guaranteed for at least twelve months from the date of original purchase. Any defect that arises due to faulty materials or workmanship will be repaired free of charge (or if applicable the product will be replaced or the purchase price refunded) where possible during this period by the dealer from who you purchased the unit.

The guarantee is subject to the following provisions:

  • The guarantee does not cover accidental damage, misuse, cabinet parts, knobs or consumable items.
  • The product must be correctly installed and operated in accordance with the instructions contained in the manual.
  • It must be used solely for domestic purposes. The guarantee will be rendered invalid if the product is re-sold or has been damaged by inexpert repair.
  • Specifications are subject to change without notice.
  • Bush disclaim any liability for loss or damage arising from the breakdown of the product.
  • This guarantee is in addition to and does not diminish your statutory or legal rights.
