You can register for your free Bush guarantee in a few simple steps by clicking here or watch the video below which will walk you through all the methods to register along with the benefits of doing so.
- Check that you are in Bluetooth mode.
- Ensure that you are within range of the radio for Bluetooth functionality, 10 metres or less (33 feet or less).
- Move the radio and Bluetooth device away from other Bluetooth devices/electrical equipment.
- If possible, turn off other nearby Bluetooth devices or disable their Bluetooth functionality.
- Press PAIR to display Bluetooth mode. The BT LED indicator will flash.
- Activate the Bluetooth function on your Bluetooth smart devices.
- Scan Bluetooth devices from your smart device and select "CD-78B".
- Once paired successfully, the blue LED indicator will stop flashing, then you can play music.
If Bluetooth will not connect, try the following:
- Ensure any devices are within 10 metres from the Boombox.
- Ensure that you have activated the Bluetooth function on your smart device.
- Ensure the Boombox is in Bluetooth mode. The BT indicator will flash if the Boombox is in Bluetooth mode.
- The Bluetooth mode will enter standby mode if there is no device paired after 120 seconds. The BT indicator will flash slowly. Press PAIR to pair again.

If the function buttons do not respond, try the following:
- Check that mains power wall socket is switched on.
- Slide the switch on the back of the Boombox to the mode you would like to use. The red power LED to the left of the display will switch on.
- Check that you are trying to use the function buttons for the mode that you are in.
- If you are using batteries, they may be exhausted and need to be replaced.
- If you are using mains power, unplug the mains power. Leave the Boombox for 3 minutes and then reconnect the power.

Using a 3.5mm audio input connection cable (not included), allows for a quick and easy connection to an external sound source.
- Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio connection cable to the headphone or auxiliary out socket of your secondary device, connect the other end to the Line in socket on the back of your Boombox.
- Slide the Power/Mode switch on the back of the Boombox to CD/Line in.
- Press the Play button on your external device to start playback through the Boombox speakers.
- To gain optimal volume levels, adjust the volume level on both the secondary device and on the Boombox.
Note: It is recommended that you unplug the audio cable from the Line in socket after you have finished listening to your external device, as the CD player cannot be used whilst an audio cable is connected. Please wait for approximately 15 seconds after unplugging the audio cable, for the Boombox to return to CD mode
The Auxiliary port acts as an input port on this device and is designed to connect external sound sources to the Boombox, so you can use it as a speaker. The device cannot provide sounds to headphones.
If CD discs are not playing, try the following:
- Check that the Boombox in in CD mode.
- Try a power reset. Unplug the device from any power, hold down the On/Off button for 15 seconds, plug back in, and try again.
- Check the disc tray for any packaging or debris that may be covering the disc sensor.
- Try different CDs to check it is not an issue with a specific disc.
- Use an original audio CD and not a copy as sometimes copied CDs may not play due to formatting.

If discs are skipping, try the following:
- Try a power reset. Unplug the device from any power, hold down the On/Off button for 15 seconds, plug back in, and try again.
- Check the disc tray for any packaging or debris that may be covering the disc sensor.
- Try different CDs to check it is not an issue with a specific disc.
- Use an original audio CD and not a copy as sometimes copied CDs may not play due to formatting.
- Check any discs for marks/scratches that could be causing it to skip.

If the radio reception is poor, try the following:
- Try a power reset. Unplug the device from any power, hold down the On/Off button for 15 seconds, plug back in, and try again.
- Extend the aerial/antenna if your unit has one.
- Adjust the tuning wheel/dial slowly to navigate through the stations to find the best signal.
- Move away from other electrical appliances that could disturb the signal.
- Move the Boombox to another location, preferably an open location need windows/doors.

If the Boombox isn’t turning on, check the following:
- Try a power reset. Unplug the device from any power, hold down the On/Off button for 15 seconds, plug back in, and try again.
- Try an alternative mains plug socket.
- Change the fuse in the plug.
- Quick press the On/Off or Standby button to ensure the unit is not in Standby.

If the sound quality is distorted, check the following:
- If you are listening to radio through the Boombox, it could be signal related so try retuning and try another station.
- Try a power reset. Unplug the device from any power, hold down the On/Off button for 15 seconds, plug back in, and try again.
- Try an alternative disc to ensure it is not an issue with the disc.
- Move away from other electrical appliances that could disturb the signal.

How to stop a CD from skipping
What to do if your radio has poor signal
This product is guaranteed for at least twelve months from the date of original purchase. Any defect that arises due to faulty materials or workmanship will be repaired free of charge (or if applicable the product will be replaced or the purchase price refunded) where possible during this period by the dealer from who you purchased the unit.
The guarantee is subject to the following provisions:
- The guarantee does not cover accidental damage, misuse, cabinet parts, knobs or consumable items.
- The product must be correctly installed and operated in accordance with the instructions contained in the manual.
- It must be used solely for domestic purposes. The guarantee will be rendered invalid if the product is re-sold or has been damaged by inexpert repair.
- Specifications are subject to change without notice.
- Bush disclaim any liability for loss or damage arising from the breakdown of the product.
- This guarantee is in addition to and does not diminish your statutory or legal rights.
