- The oil filled radiator may have reached the set temperature and turned off automatically.
- Ensure the oil filled radiator is not overheating, this can trigger the safety shut-off.
- If your oil filled radiator has a timer function, check if the timer function is enabled.
- Ensure the power cord is plugged into the mains and turned on.
- Check that the power switch or thermostat is set correctly.
- Check that there’s not a tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse in the plug.
- Some oil filled radiators have a safety feature that requires the unit to be upright to operate.
- This noise is normal and is caused by the expansion and contraction of metal as it heats and cools.
- Ensure the oil filled radiator is positioned in an open space, away from walls or furniture.
- Remove any dust or debris from the fins and vents, as this can cause uneven heat distribution.
- Check the temperature setting and make sure it’s not too low (below the temperature of the room).
- Allow the oil filled radiator time to heat up (typically 20-30 minutes).
- Check the power setting, as using the highest setting for prolonged period of time will consume more electricity.
- Use a programmable timer to regulate usage.
