When you receive your fridge freezer, it is important to leave it to stand for 4 hours prior to plugging it in, this is to allow the compressor oil to settle within the appliance. You should then ideally wait 24 hours before putting food into it.

The compressor sound should be a humming noise from the compressor every now and then. This is when the appliance needs to get to the correct temperature and is expected. If you still believe it is too loud, check the following:

  • Ensure there is clearance around the appliance.
  • Check both sections are cooling correctly.

If the issue is still not resolved, get in touch with the support team by using the contact details on this page. To best assist you with your query, we may require photographs and videos of the following:

  • Front of the appliance
  • Serial number sticker
  • Video of the sound coming from the compressor

If both areas are not cooling, try the following:

  • Ensure there is the correct clearance around the appliance. This will be stated in your user manual.
  • Ensure it is located in an area of a similar temperature between 10-32 degrees.
  • Check that the door is closing properly and there is no debris in the seals.
  • Avoid over-filling the appliance and ensure nothing is touching the back.
  • Check that the fridge is on a setting between 3 and 4.
  • Keep the appliance away from any heat sources.
  • Check the power is coming on correctly and, if necessary, try an alternative mains socket and fuse.

If the issue is still not resolved, get in touch with the support team by using the contact details on this page. To best assist you with your query, we may require photographs of the following:

If the appliance isn’t level, try the following:

  • Ensure the adjustable feet are set and tight. They can be screwed and unscrewed. You can find more instructions on this in the user manual.
  • Ensure the flooring is level.
  • The front of the appliance will be elevated slightly more than the back, allowing any water to run down the drain hole.

If the issue is still not resolved, get in touch with the support team by using the contact details on this page. To best assist you with your query, we may require photographs of the following:

  • Front of the appliance
  • Serial number sticker

If the drainage hole is blocked, try the following:

  • Use the brush included with the appliance to clean the drain hole.
  • Pour water down the hole and check the drip tray to ensure the water is dripping through.
